Description: This curriculum is required for all Marine Corps security management personnel including assistants and clerks. Additionally, this curriculum is a prerequisite for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Security Management Resident Course. All security management personnel will complete this curriculum within 30 days of assignment. This set of courses introduces common DOD security disciplines an Activity (Command) Security Manager, Assistant Activity (Command) Security Manager, or Security Assistants or clerks may encounter while performing their duties. Specifically, these courses provide an overview of Information Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, and Personnel Security responsibilities, as well as programs such as Risk Management and Operations Security (OPSEC). Upon completion, students will be eligible to register for the USMC Security Management Resident Course at the following link, https://usmc.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/DCI_IID_Security/SitePages/Security-Management-Course.aspx. Students must upload a copy of the completion certificate while registering. Early registration, prior to curriculum completion, is authorized, but final approval will not be given until the completion certificate has been uploaded.
