CDSE has maintained institutional accreditation by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) since initial accreditation in 2003. COE is a national accrediting agency for assuring quality and integrity standards in career and technical education. 

The SPēD Certification Program seeks to accredit all its certifications and develops assessments to meet accreditation standards as set by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). By accrediting its certifications, CDSE ensures the security professionals conferred a SPēD certification meet the highest standards to protect our nation's assets. 

Over 40 courses and programs hosted by CDSE are approved for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit toward several CompTIA certification renewals, including A +, Network +, Security +, and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP). CompTIA is a non-profit trade association advancing the global interests of IT professionals and IT channel organizations.
