Directions to CDSE Facility

• Take I-95 North to Route 295 North (Baltimore-Washington Parkway).
• Proceed approximately 20 miles.
• Take the W. Nursery Road exit.
• Bear right at the light at the end of the ramp onto W. Nursery Road. Remain in the right lane.
• Turn right at the third light onto Winterson Road.
• Turn left at the next light onto Elkridge Landing Road.
• Take the very next right into the parking areas. CDSE is ahead on the right. The number 938 is on the upper left front of the building.
• The Student Parking lot is immediately on the left after turning off of Elkridge Landing Road.

• Take I-95 South to 695 East.
• Take I-695 East to 295 South (Baltimore-Washington Parkway).
• Take the W. Nursery Road exit.
• Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp onto W. Nursery Road.
• Turn right at the fourth light onto Winterson Road.
• Turn left at the next light onto Elkridge Landing Road.
• Take the very next right into the parking areas. CDSE is ahead on the right. The number 938 is on the upper left front of the building.
• The Student Parking lot is immediately on the left after turning off of Elkridge Landing Road.

• CDSE is 5 to 10 minutes from BWI Airport.
• Follow Elm Road from the airport; turn right on Terminal Road; cross Rt. 170 (Airport Loop).
• Turn left at the light onto Elkridge Landing Road.
• Turn left off Elkridge Landing Road before the light at Winterson Road. (This left is just past the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hotel on the right.)
• CDSE is ahead on the right. The number 938 is on the upper left front of the building.

• Drive northeast on New Ridge Road from the facility.
• Turn right onto Stoney Run Road.
• Take the 1st right and remain right onto Route 170 North / Aviation Blvd.
• Go about 1.7 miles and turn left at the light for Terminal Road.
• Immediately turn left at the next light at Elkridge Landing Road.
• Go about 1.7 miles and turn left off Elkridge Landing Road into the parking areas just before the light at Winterson Road. (This left is just past the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hotel on the right.)
• CDSE is ahead on the right. The number 938 is on the upper left front of the building.

Parking

Please park in the designated areas. CDSE shares the parking lots with tenants of other buildings and parking in the inappropriate area can result in your vehicle being towed. Please refer to the Student Parking Map  in the  Student Handbook.  Student parking is shaded green. If you are not sure if you are in a designated parking space, check with the front desk personnel.

1. CDSE Student Parking Lot
   • After turning into the parking areas off of Elkridge Landing Road, the designated Student Parking Lot is located at the third parking lot entrance on your right. Student Parking signs are posted at the entrance.
2. Visitors
   • Visitors are allowed to park around the CDSE building.

Building Hours

Students can enter the building at any time between 0730 and 1700. Please enter from the front of the building and have a photo ID in hand for check-in on the first day of class. Classes end at approximately 1700.

Accessibility/Special Needs

The CDSE supports the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Students, visiting instructors, and other CDSE guests with who need an accommodation, should email a request. More information can be found on page 2 of the Student Handbook. 

Arrival/In-Processing

Photo identification is required for entry to the facility. Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to check in at the front desk.

Dress Code

The CDSE standard for dress and appearance is business casual. Khaki slacks and polo shirts are great; apparel such as tank tops, shorts, sweat suits, tennis shoes, or jeans are not acceptable. Civilian attire is recommended for military personnel. We recommend that students bring a jacket since sometimes our classroom temperatures fluctuate.

Inclement Weather/Emergency Closures

For the facility operating status call the CDSE Operational Line at 410-689-7725, operating status will be posted by 0500 each day.

If you are unable to reach the CDSE operational line, contact the Guard Desk at 410-689-1290 for the current status.

If the weather event is currently active, the status may change from a delay to a closing, continue to monitor the status for updates.

When there are delays civilians/contractors/students are not allowed in the facility until the designated time. When the CDSE facility is closed due to a weather event, employees, contractors and students are not to report.

Contractors are required to check with their program managers for further guidance.
