The mission of the Center for Development of Security Excellence – Education Division is to educate and prepare, through online delivery, military and civilian personnel to be innovative leaders who develop and implement security strategies and leverage information and technology to address our nation’s security challenges.

The Center for Development of Security Excellence – Education Division is to become the premier provider of online higher education for development of senior leaders for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Government security community.

Middle States Commission on Higher Education  

The Center for Development Security Excellence – Education Division (CDSE-ED) is a candidate institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission) www.msche.org. CDSE-ED accreditation status is candidate. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on November 21, 2024 was to grant candidacy. MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.
