MISSION  

The mission of the Center for Development of Security Excellence – Education Division is to educate and prepare, through online delivery, military and civilian personnel to be innovative leaders who develop and implement security strategies, and leverage information and technology to address our nation’s security challenges. 

VISION  

The Center for Development of Security Excellence – Education Division is to become the premier provider of online higher education for development of senior leaders for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Government security community.  

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS/ACCREDITATION 

American Council on Education (ACE) 

CDSE offers credit recommendations for most courses through its affiliation with the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT). This benefits students by allowing them to earn digital badges and to transfer credit for successful completion of some courses to participating institutions at which they may be pursuing a degree. 

The ACE CREDIT logo is a federally registered trademark of the American Council on Education and cannot be used or reproduced without the express written permission of the American Council on Education. 

Middle States Commission on Higher Education  

The Center for Development Security Excellence Education Division (CDSE-ED) is a candidate institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission) www.msche.org. CDSE-ED accreditation status is candidate. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on November 21, 2024 was to grant candidacy. MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.
