Description: In accordance with DOD policy, all DOD civilian, military, and contractor personnel must complete initial and biennial refresher Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training. The Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) CUI course is the official DOD training course and is strictly mandatory for fulfilling the initial training requirement. For the biennial refresher training, this CDSE course is available and authorized for use, but it is not explicitly required.

- Describe the purpose and location of the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) and Department of Defense (DOD) CUI registries
- Apply proper initial marking requirements
- Identify decontrol requirements
- Describe safeguarding requirements
- Identify proper destruction methods
- Apply appropriate access and dissemination controls
- Explain the procedures for identifying and reporting security incidents
- State the implementation guidelines
