U.S. Navy Security Manager Course (NSMC) Prerequisite Curriculum SP130.CU

Description: This curriculum is a prerequisite for the U.S. Navy Security Manager Resident Course. All security management personnel shall complete this curriculum before undertaking the Navy Security Manager Course (NSMC). This set of courses introduces common DOD security disciplines an Activity Security Manager, Assistant Activity Security Manager, or Security Assistant may encounter while performing their duties. Specifically, these courses provide an overview of Information Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, and Personnel Security responsibilities. Upon completion, students will be eligible to register for the U.S. Navy Security Manager Course provided they meet the course requirements located at CANTRAC.

Target Audience: U.S. Navy civilian and military security management personnel with duties as an Activity Security Manager (ASM), Activity Assistant Security Manager (AASM), or Security Assistant, requiring entry-level knowledge of Information, Industrial, Personnel, and Physical security disciplines’ policy and procedures.
