Department of the Air Force Insider Threat Training Curriculum IF112.CU

Description: This curriculum provides foundational knowledge of the Department of Defense (DOD) Insider Threat Program and addresses common activities encountered while performing duties as an Insider Threat Liaison, Insider Threat Representative, or personnel authorized to report DOD Insider Threat Management Analysis Center (DITMAC) threshold-level events to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Insider Threat Hub through the designated insider threat reporting platform. It is recommended that all Insider Threat Liaisons/Representatives complete this curriculum within 30 days of assignment/appointment. This set of CDSE courses introduces concepts to deter, detect, mitigate, and prevent risks associated with trusted insiders and to identify the role of the Insider Threat Liaison/Representative within a threat management capability. This curriculum also promotes the proactive reporting of suspicious activities observed within the place of duty. The curriculum will introduce students to the risks posed by trusted insiders, including the psychological motivations, predispositions, and behaviors associated with this group.

Target Audience: DAF civilian, military, and contractor personnel formally appointed at the command level to oversee and report insider threats and DAF personnel requiring entry-level knowledge of Executive Order (E.O.) 13587, National Minimum Standards for Insider Threat, National Defense Authorization Act, DODI 5205.16, The DOD Insider Threat Program, the DOD DITMAC reportable thresholds, and duties associated with the insider threat management.
