CDSE Counterintelligence Awareness Toolkit

The Center for Development for Security Excellence (CDSE) is pleased to announce the release of the "Counterintelligence Awareness Toolkit." This toolkit was designed to help security professionals identify resources available to combat foreign intelligence entities and the insider threat. It provides performance support for security professionals subject to DoD Policy, the National Industrial Security Program, and the Defense Security Skill Standards. This platform provides rapid retrieval capability for topical areas such as Awareness & Training, Policy & Legal, Reporting, Counterterrorism, Insider Threat, Foreign Travel & Visits, Supply Chain Risk Management, and Cyber Counterintelligence. Next Week's CDSE Webinar "Cybersecurity Awareness Update - June 2015"

Next Thursday, June 25 at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm EST, CDSE will present the "Cybersecurity Awareness Update - June 2015" webinar. This webinar is the inaugural launch of the CDSE "Cybersecurity Awareness Update" series, which identifies and discusses the latest trends in cybersecurity awareness. This update focuses on helping security and cybersecurity professionals understand the current cybersecurity landscape, as well as where they can find more information to assist their organizations. A new "Update" will be available at the end of each month. The webinar will also introduce related CDSE training materials, including eLearning, job aids, and toolkits.

"Getting Started Seminar for New FSOs," Aug 11 - 12, 2015 (Linthicum, MD)

This course is open to Facility Security Officers (FSOs), Assistant Facility Security Officers (AFSOs), Security Specialists, and anyone employed in the security environment, such as Human Resource personnel, Administrative Assistants, Program Managers, and Military Members exiting the various Armed Services. Due to the expansion of the counterintelligence block, this course is now extended to two full days. A prerequisite course titled "FSO Role in the NISP" is required for seminar registration.
