New Facility Clearance Sponsorship for Government Contracting Activities and Prime Contractors
Date: Thursday, February 14, 2013
Description: The webinar will review guidance contained in the Defense Security Service (DSS) New Facility Clearance Sponsorship brochure. The Defense Security Service receives approximately 80 new requests a week to process a facility for a facility security clearance (FCL). Approximately a third of these requests are reviewed and rejected back to the sponsor. The goal of this webinar is to add transparency to the FCL process, improve efficiency, and enhance communication between DSS and the Government Contracting Activities and prime contractors who sponsor uncleared companies for an FCL.
Length: 30 minutes
Target Audience: Facility Security Officers (FSOs) and other security personnel at DoD cleared contractor facilities, DSS IS Reps and DoD Industrial Security Specialists and other government personnel with industrial security responsibilities
