CDSE provides diverse security courses and products to DoD personnel, DoD contractors, employees of other federal agencies, and selected foreign governments. Training is presented through a variety of learning platforms and is streamlined to meet performance requirements and accommodate the busy schedules of today’s students.

DoD Security Principles
This video explains the function of the various security disciplines in supporting our national defense and CDSE's role in supporting the security professionals who execute the Defense Security Enterprise mission.
CDSE provides a text-only format of select eLearning courses and security shorts in its Student Guides.
Filter training by delivery method
These courses are internet-based, self-paced training. For these training courses, students register in our learning management system STEPP, where their transcripts and certificates are maintained for record keeping.
These eLearning courses are for occasional users of select CDSE awareness courses (e.g., annual mandatory training). No registration or sign in is required. Students can print a Certificate of Completion at the end of a course; however, CDSE maintains no record of course completion. Security Awareness Hub courses cannot be used as prerequisites for instructor-led courses.
These online, informative events are available live, on-demand, or previously recorded and address topics and issues of interest to defense security personnel. Webinars are hosted on Adobe Connect and can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection and Adobe's Flash Player.

Virtual Instructor-led (VIL) courses are scheduled, eLearning facilitated by instructors through CDSE’s online Collaborative Learning Environment.
A repository of role-based resources that serve as a one-stop shop for security essentials.
Training shorts are usually ten minutes or less and allow security personnel to refresh their knowledge of a critical topic or quickly access information needed to complete a job.
