STEPP Technical Issues/Error Messages

My screen says, "Access denied – unable to proceed due to improper call of perception."

  1. Press ALT+T on your keyboard to open Tools and select Internet Options.

  2. Under Browsing history, click Delete.

  3. Click Delete again in the pop-up window.

  4. Click Apply and OK.

  5. Verify Adobe Flash Player is installed and enabled: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

Additionally, be sure that Internet Explorer is set to trust our training site.

  1. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security.
  2. Select Trusted Sites and select Sites.
  3. Add "https://stepp.dss.mil/SelfRegistration/Login.aspx" to the zone and uncheck the Require Server Verification checkbox.
  4. Select Close, then OK.
