Special Access Program Security Shorts

A Special Access Program is established for a specific class of classified information that imposes safeguarding and access requirements that exceed those normally required for information at the same classification level.

These "shorts" are not intended for download. Please note, you will not receive a certificate of completion for watching a short.

  • Introduction to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Special Access Program (SAP)
    This course focuses on the student's ability to recognize the steps and purpose of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for use in the management of all networks, systems, and components under the purview of the Department of Defense (DOD) SAP information systems as set forth in the DODM 5205.07 SAP Security Manual: Volume 1 (V1) General Procedures, Reference Enclosure 6, Cybersecurity and the DOD Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG).
     
  • Procedures for Transporting SAP
    Provides guidance on how to transport SAP material, specifically large items. This short reviews considerations when creating transportation plans and additional steps not covered in those plans.
     
  • SAP Security Incident Practical Exercise - Industry Day
    This short is designed to give an individual the necessary information to properly safeguard information, gather facts required for an inquiry, and create a Security Incident Report in the SAP environment. It includes feedback on recommended answers and a certificate of attendance at the completion of the short.

  • Special Access Program (SAP) Markings
    Focuses on student ability to recognize and apply control markings to DOD SAP Information as set forth in the 5205.07, Volume 4, Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual: Marking. This short will examine the special marking considerations for SAP information.
